Timber Frame Porches is a small family run business that specialises in the design and manufacture of timber frame porches and porch canopies in both oak, softwood and a variety of different hardwoods if required.  Based on over 26 years of experience we also produce oak gazebos, oak pergolas, bespoke oak garden structures, oak carports and oak garages which can either be designed by us or built from any plan or idea you send to us. The Team 

My name is Steve Jones, founder and main designer at Timber Frame Porches. 

Having designed timber frame structures for over 14 years for a reputable Oak frame Building company in Kent I have gained valuable knowledge and experience and a range of skills within the timber frame industry which I now hope to share with the potential customers of Timber Frame Porches. I have been solely responsible for designing over 500 timber frame building projects in both oak and softwood in recent years using the industry renowned Dietrich's timber framing software. The projects I have designed and built range from small oak garages and oak cart sheds, oak home offices and bespoke oak garden structures to large oak frame houses and extensions.  Having done so many oak porch projects in the past I would now like to specialise in timber frame porches as I love the possibilities they present and the unique difference they can make to every home. If possible I like to work closely with you the customer throughout the initial design process to ensure that all your ideas and practicalities for the frame are considered and properly understood.

I can produce 3D colour images to visualise every aspect of your timber porch or bespoke timber frame and if you send me a digital photo of where your frame would be situated then we can offer a unique service of superimposing the structure against a site background photo to show you a visual of how the proposed frame will look against your actual settings.

My name is Mark 

I have been involved in the design and production of all types of timber frames and oak joinery for over 12 years now. Having come from an engineering background and gaining qualifications in the industry I moved on to timber framing where I produced a wide range of timber frames using CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machinery for a company in Kent. I was solely responsible for the running and maintenance of a large CNC machine for four years and having witnessed the mass production side of the timber framing industry I decided that I would prefer to learn more about the traditional hand-made methods that have been passed down through the centuries. I started making garden furniture and oak gates and progressed onto larger oak frames where I have produced structures ranging from gazebo's, pergola's and porches to large extensions and garages. I have built up a great reputation with a lot of repeat customers as I pride myself on precise craftsmanship. I am convinced that with our experience, design capabilities, good customer service and our attention to detail we will be able to provide you with the best possible hand crafted timber frame.
